Traffic Secrets 2.0 Review

Wow, no less than 10 emails promoting John Reese's new Traffic Secrets 2.0 after 6pm on the night before a major holiday in the US.

That can either be looked at as brilliant or pathetic.

Here's my thoughts…

Everyone invited to promote Traffic Secrets 2.0 understands that it's going to be the early bird that catches the worm. And in this case, that worm is some very healthy affiliate commissions.

Reality is that John is still the king of the hill. When the king releases an update to a 4 yr old course, you can BET YOUR ASS that this thing will sell out faster than anything else this marketplace has ever seen.

Your's truly has been invited to promote this as well. Frankly, I wasn't too excited… at first.

And since the kids are in bed, a few beers in me, and just finished a fine $25 cigar, I thought I would jump on the bandwagon and actually write an unbiased review about this thing.

What? Woody has an advanced copy?

Yes… and I should. Heck, I am the Woodster after all. Ok, that sounded a bit arrogant and was meant tounge in cheek.

What I mean is that I've had a chance to preview some of the course.

Sidenote: Over the next two weeks, this thing will be promoted by anyone and everyone. Chances are that none will have actually consumed the product (like me), and chances are you will see the most rediculous bonuses ever given in Internet Marketing history. It's my sincere hope that you can look past the hype, take what I write here, and make an informed decision.

Ok, back to business…

What I was able to review was a 360 page transcript of the entire course. Lucky for you, I have advanced atificial intelligence software that will scan any document and create a nice, lovely, readable mindmap from it.

This allows me to consume 360 pages in about 20 minutes.

Pretty cool, huh?

Anyway, the material is solid and speaks to building REAL conversations online. The course shows several innovative ways to do that.

That's it in a nutshell.

(Don't you appreciate how so much info can be summed up so quickly?)

Now do I think it's worth whatever price he's asking?

Yes and no.

Yes if you consume it quickly and implement is fast. I'm not kidding here. The fact is that if you don't, you will always put it off to another day and not benefit from the info thus wasting your money.

I seriously doubt John would like to have your money and you not get any value from it in return.

Now here's where I'm going to go on a little tangent…

John comes across as a perfectionist. Just look at his Traffic Secrets 2.0 preview video to see how awesome it is (it really is cool… I even emailed him asking who produced it only to find out that cat isn't for hire).

His perfectionism comes out in this course as well. It's very well put together.

But John isn't the only one talking about this subject.

With that said, chances are you can get much of this information elsewhere and probably for less money.

But I will say this… I own these other courses and Traffic Secret's 2.0 takes you in places those other courses don't… and vice versa.

So my SUGGESTION is to not only buy John's course, but several other courses on traffic generation as well.

I really did enjoy his material, and while you may expect me to bash everything, I simply can't and be ethical about it.

This course ranks up there with Traffic Tactics and the Kings Point Project. All 3 makes up one heck of a complete traffic system.

Ok, I need another one of those cigars and another beer.

Now make sure you buy Traffic Secrets 2.0 from my link. Was that TOO blatent? Maybe.

Would you like to be a pimp?

Boys and girls… children of all ages… listen up as the greatest show in the world is about to begin.

The lights dim. All noises cease. You can hear a pin drop as it hits the ground.

Anticipation is building.

Total darkness…

BOOM, a spotlight hits center stage and a man is standing there.

He raises his arms high into the air. You know what's about to happen.

All of that anticipation and excitement has led up to this very moment.

He drops his hands… thunder booms… fireworks blaze.

And then a turtle makes it way out onto the stage.

Huh?

Where's the dancing bears? Where's the acrobatics?

Nope, just a turtle making his way slowly onto the stage.

As the turtle arrives at center stage, a large announcemnt booms over the speakers telling everyone that they hope they all enjoyed the show and that the greatest show on earth is now over.

What? That's it?

Kinda feels like most 'internet marketing' launches doesn't it?

Awesome buildup, but very dissapointing results.

This isn't the launch processes fault. It's the fault of those putting on the launch.

There has been a new trend in launches though. Some people get the fact that it's about OVER DELIVERING, providing content (not this bullshit prelaunch crap you see every day where sales messages are disguised as content) before the sale, not using the stupid-ass 'my server melted' gimick, and not getting every person with a list to pimp the product (some people get the fact that not everyone's list is appropriate for their product).

This is where it's headed folks…

Help a Brotha Out

Man, I like balls!

WHOA, NELLY… that came out VERY wrong!

I meant that I like someone with balls enough to take action. Even if that action causes you to feel fear, be uncomfortable, and break out of your total comfort zone.

Here's the story…

This morning, I received an email from a guy names Jonathan Van Clute. I know him because he's a risk taker.

It all started a year ago. I had just launched this blog and was gaining a lot of momentum in the marketplace. Out of the blue, I receive a phone call (not sure how he got my number) that I happened to answer.

It was Jonathan.

He said he lives in California, but had to make a trip to the Houston area and wanted to buy me breakfast. Umm, ok. My first thought was 'stalker'. By my gut was telling me something different.

I decided to join him and his girlfriend for breakfast. What I thought was going to be a 45 min chat turned into 3 hours of enjoyment.

This is a smart cat and it was fun chatting with him.

Fast forward to today.

Unfortunately, we haven't stayed in touch as often as we would have liked, but that's the way it works sometimes.

Out of the blue (yet again), he emailed me asked for help.

He's in a contest and wants to win (I like a fighting spirit).

So he asked if I could help. He was just asking for a '10' vote, but I went a step further and bought him a $5 'super vote'.

And then it occured to me.

You still want me to post to this blog, but I said I had quit.

Why not do something cool for SEVERAL people at once and make a post to this blog AND help out Jonathan?

So here's what I've decided to do…

Vote for Jonathan at the Top Affiliate Challenge.

Give him a 10.

Once you've done that, post a comment here telling me you did it and I will include you on a super cool interview being held next week.

This interview will reveal the BEST cookie stuffing system I've ever seen.

This is a resource I've kept close to me for months now.

I've asked the programmer to get on the horn with me for an hour and he's agreed.

But it gets better…

I asked the programmer if I could get a coupon for you. His system is less than $250, but I've got $20 coupons for action takers.

So give Jonathan a 10 vote and also get this $20 coupon as soon as they are issued to me.

Cool, huh?

What car are you?

Here's one of those 'not so frequent posts'.

Take the test to see what car YOU are…

Here's me:

I'm a Lotus Elise!

You believe in maximum performance and minimum baggage. You like to travel light and fast, hit the corners hard, and dance like there's no tomorrow.

Hmm… nice way to get some inbound links!

Calling it quits

This past year has been fun, but I'm calling it quits.

Sure, I may post an occassional blog post, but I won't be writing (and haven't been) every day. That may change, but not at the present time.

Here are some reasons why…

I'm tired of it.

Well, ok, one reason.

So you may be wondering what's been going on? So here goes…

I lost a relative to a motorcycle accident 8 days ago. As you can imagine, I've been dealing with that a bit.

I've expanded my lead gen business. It's fun to make money without being scrutinized constantly.

I had a deal with another gentleman to take over a part of this business and introduce a very cool concept we were calling Woody 2.0… but that doesn't seem to be manifesting the way I imagined.

Who knows… that may happen, but I kinda doubt it.

I will continue to write Maximum Overdrive and chances are will write more on my thoughts in that publication rather than this blog.

This has been a fun ride, but as with all great things, they must come to an end.

Enjoy,

Woody

PS - Chime in here… if you want me to continue, let me know.

Various Testing In Progress

Have you ever thought to yourself, "Can anything go right?"

Looking back over the past two weeks, that's exactly what's been going through my mind.

So here's the story…

I had a conversation with a friend who's been making a killing with video and Craigslist marketing. Personally, it always seemed like a lot of effort compared to buying media.

But his results made me take notice, so I thought to myself that in addition to PPC, maybe I will add this to my kick-start marketing plan. If you are wondering, my kick-start plan allows me to hone in my offer prior to making large media buys.

Ok, so I spent a day reviewing Craigslist marketing courses and having conversations with others on how to effectively market with video.

On the surface, this is simple enough.

Heck, this would be something good for one of my two assistants to manage during their down time. But before passing this along to them, I really wanted to make it work myself.

Whew… this stuff isn't as easy as it appeared!

My video marketing hasn't gained any ground in the past two weeks and every ad I posted to Craigslist was flagged and removed within an hour of posting it.

To say I was conservative on both is an understatement.

So am I giving up? Heck no…

What I AM doing is letting the experts help. I've prepared my campaigns for review by them and will let them see where I went wrong.

This brings me to a good point…

Join a mastermind, hire a coach, or make good friends with those that possess the skills you wish to gain or improve yourself. I'm an expert at PPC, media buying, and Blackhat SEO. I'm not an expert in Web 2.0 or Craigslist… so I sought out those that were and made alliances with them.

You should think about doing the same.

Enjoy,

Woody

Some odds and ends

This update is just telling you what I'm doing and involved with over the next few weeks.

In two weeks, I'm heading up to Dallas for the Nitro Marketing QUATRO workshop. The registration page shows closed, but if you contact them, they may be able to squeeze you in.

From what I can see, this is going to be a who's who event.

But more importantly, look at the sales page and notice the Live Person box on the top right hand site. If you are selling anything over $300, I would suggest adding this. There's a guy names Ari somebody that did an entire course on how to make this effective. I'm not sure you really need that course, but you are certainly lowering barriers to entry and increasing trust by making this available.

Two people that I've gained a lot of respect for over the last year is Carlos and Lupe Garcia. They've come under a lot of fire from idiots that don't understand what they are teaching. I will say this, if you want to tap into the BIG internet, then their training is one of the 2 best out there right now (the other being Offer Domination). Their new course is called the Traffic Tactics University.

From what I hear, the guy I sat next to in the July seminar last year has gone from making 6k to 400k per month with their system.

That's impressive.

After Dallas, I'm heading up to Boise for a 2 day mastermind meeting. I hate flying, but I find that I'm doing a lot of it over the coming months.

Next month, I'm heading to Eben Pagan's event in Los Angelas. His coaching program is by far one the best run and insight driven programs I've been a part of over the last few years. Between Traffic Tactics, Wholesale Traffic, Offer Domination, and Eban's coaching program, I can't imagine needing any other training.

By the way, Eben has released his Psycho Sales Letters software back into the market again. It's free and extremely powerful.

Ok, that about does it for now…

Depression, Girls, and Wholesale Domination

While brainstorming this subject line, I just started laughing and said to myself 'That's the one'.

I have some news to pass along today, but thought I would get a bit personal first.

I (and millions of others) battle 'the blues' often. I hate the word depression, because frankly, I've been depressed and this ain't exactly it.

It's more like a lack of motivation, focus, irritability, and so forth.

Most often, this lasts for 1-3 days and after it passes, it's back to normal. The problem is that while it's occuring, I make stupid decisions (like buying stuff I don't need, not working on my business, sleeping, etc).

I've found something that works for me, so I thought I would pass it along.

Being that I'm AWARE of what's happening, I'm ABLE to do something about it. Many people (and myself included up to a few years ago) have no idea what's going on and are oblivious to any problem to begin with. To those people, I wish you the best and hope that awareness comes to you soon.

So here's my routine…

- I try not to eat junk. That's hard, but necessary. I try to eat as light as possible.

- I work 10 minutes and take off 50. Hey, since I have an issue with focus during these times, it's best to have small bursts of focus and do whatever I want the rest of the time.

- I take a short nap (30min) around 2pm.

- I watch a movie… and a comedy at that. This always lifts me up.

- I do my best to not read email. These are the times that I make rash buying decisions and I hate being suckered into every good offer.

Other than that, I just look for motivation to work which is usually a sign this crap is passing.

Onward…

Ryan Deiss's Wholesale Traffic System launches on Thursday. I have a preview copy and can tell you that this course is FANTASTIC. Some real golden nuggets in this one.

Just for the record, Offer Domination has a vistior value of $60+ and a large part of that high VV is the script that comes from the free 'SLO' report when you click on the Wholesale Traffic System link above.

What's that? You don't know what Offer Domination is? Then read the previous post.

And onto girls..

I don't have anything to write about girls, but adding that to a subject line is surely to get male eyeballs here. :-)
